StoneRidge

Stone Ridge is a Planned Urban Development in the Washington D.C. Metro Area designed to foster a sense of community and togetherness. By integrating homes, shopping, office space, and medical facilities into a single community, Stone Ridge has created an evironment that truly brings all aspects of life together into one cohearant community.

I was responsible for not only developing the branding and advertising guidelines for the community, but also for keeping them current and up to date over the past 10 years. This has resulted in several award winning advertising campaigns, as well as a sold out residential community and thriving business marketplace. Integrating all these aspects into a solid brand was a fantastic, and fun challenge.

Getting The Word Out

The Stone Ridge campaign was multi-media utilizing print, digital, signage, and event marketing. My campaign ran in every major magazine and newspaper in the region including The Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine, New Homes Guide, Washington Business Journal and many more. I created marketing events to draw people in such as PetFest, a Wii Tournament, Pet Adoption Festival, concerts, 5k races, and a Wellness Fair. Thousands attended these event resulting in sales for the community. We heavily used email blasts to a database I set up within the website.

S.W.A.G. (Stuff We All Get)

I designed collateral for countless events and activities at the StoneRidge community. These include Mugs, Bookmarks, Magnets, Calendars, Bags, T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Pens, as a small example of the items produced for events.

Coming Together Online

When Stone Ridge launched the internet was still fairly unsophisticated. We were pioneers in creating digital marketing in this way. As such, Stone Ridge has undergone many “identity changes”. Different market conditions require alternate approaches. Today, online and digital is the vast majority of their marketing plan. They are basically sold out and maintain a community presence for their HOA via web, eNewsletters and local news blasts.
